The Chevrolet Camaro remains to be an engaging sports car in its 2020 edition in a body that looks still like a pony car. But in functionalities the 2020 Chevrolet Camaro proves its mettle as a true sports car, and if you look carefully, even its body structure will look like one.

For this, Chevrolet has built up a specially framed architecture that is borrowed to a great extent from theCadillac, which is to help increase not only its agility but also the right drive feel. What might appear as more interesting is the 2020 lineup that Chevrolet has arranged so strategically.

Lining Up for the Year 2020

At the Asheville Chevrolet dealer showroom we realized the fact that Chevrolet has taken an extra effort to make the 2020 year lineup of Camaro more intriguing than ever before. It has added a new V-8 engine to the lineupto introduce a new trim model which they call as the LT1. This 6.2-liter V-8 engine can make 455-horsepower and with some special styling cues, while offering a longer list of equipment in comparison to the turbo-4 and V-6 models.

After the LT1 trim joining the 2020 lineup, now the 2020 Chevrolet Camaro can be counted as LS, 1LT, 2LT, and 3LT trims that drive with the turbo-4 engines while the 1SS and 2SS are separated from the lot with the V-6. The base V-8 is reserved for the ZL1 to make a thundering 650-hp. At the base, both the LS and LT models are given a modest2.0-liter turbo-4 engine to drive with that can return 275-hp and that is set as standard, even though Chevrolet offered the LT buyers to upgrade their models with a 335-hp making 3.6-liter V-6 engine under their hoods. For these base engine models 6-speed manual transmission is allotted as standard while for the turbo-4 engine an 8-speed automatic transmission is fitted in, on the other hand a 10-speed automatic transmission is wedded to the V-6 engines.

Body Styling

Chevrolet has continued to offer the 2020 Camaro to be shaped either as a coupe or in convertible body styles. But fir the 2020 model year edition, Chevrolet has done some design changes that removed the earlier busted nose and has added a new body-color. The front fascia also changed by replacing a new grille removing the earlier all-black one. However, the silhouette of the 2020 Chevrolet Camaro continues to be the same, that wears a low-slung body covered with a relatively longer hood, high body sides, a smaller deck with flared up rear fenders.

Performance and Handling

Performance has been Camaro’s calling card since the beginning, and when the 2020 edition made it transcend into a sports car, the car had to uplift its performance both in terms of power and agility. Our test drive with the 2020 Chevrolet Camaro at the Asheville Chevrolet dealership strengthened our belief that the driving dynamics implemented in each of the Camaro trim models is a result of clever engineering. Be it a over satisfying steering response, or weight balance, be it its predictable cornering, the 2020 Chevrolet Camaro offers you all evenly.
